The latest version of the NEOGAGE software includes:
- A mechanism for approving the results of completed actions. The user can enable the action approval mechanism at one or two levels of approval. The application allows selected instruments to be marked, the test results of which must be approved by one or two users belonging to the relevant staff groups.
- Management of instrument visibility for the group of staff responsible for a given location. A system user with the appropriate permissions can 1. combine staff into groups and designate them as responsible for a given area (location). Email notifications (sent automatically or manually) containing a list of instruments whose validity is about to expire can then be sent to such a group of staff.
- Restricting instrument visibility based on the position held within the organisation. Each user in the system has their own set of permissions, referred to in the system as a role. This usually corresponds to the function held within the organisation (e.g. Laboratory Manager, etc.). In the latest version of the application, a user with the appropriate permissions can define which roles will be able to view a given instrument card.
The features listed in points 2 and 3 are part of an optional module available at an additional cost. This module may be particularly useful in companies with several internal instrument inspection units, as well as multiple independent departments working on the same instrument database.
In addition to the features mentioned above, the ability to integrate the login system with the client’s Active Directory has recently been added to the NEOGAGE application.
